Paul Kirk enjoyed a winning start to his career as Rangers first team manager with this success at the Waterworks Field. Deeping have opted to introduce several of their youth products to the senior side this season and it was two of the home grown players who were on the mark in this contest. Dave Moseley gave Rangers a great start with a third minute opener and Andy Ellis sealed the visitors victory fifteen minutes from time after going on as substitute. The win was a great way for new Rangers boss Kirk to celebrate his 50th birthday.

Steve Wareham was the architect of St Neots' second league win of the season. He gave Jon Taylor's side the lead six minutes before half time with a looping header from a long cross by Cameron Clark and added a second in the 65th minute, scoring from ten yards from a Danny Bartley cross. Bartley was also on the mark for St Neots after 85 minutes after a jinking run by substitute Barry Dellar created the chance. Graeme Archer netted for the home side early in the second half but the point was ruled out for a foul while a great double save from Jack Rashid to thwart Archer and Paul Djeneralovic kept Desborough out ten minutes from time. Ar Tarn are left as one of just two sides still without a point while the Saints are beginning to gel as a team.

Veteran striker Micky Nuttell was the Tulips' hero as they maintained their winning start to the season in style at the Waterworks Field. Kevin McGuire's men, by contrast, find themselves bottom of the table on goal difference after a third defeat in succession. Nuttell scored after 15,47 and 88 minutes, the middle goal of the three a penalty.

These two sides started the day without a point to their name, and Desborough left Lincoln Road the happier after salvaging a point with a late fightback. In the first half Stones looked set to follow their midweek cup win with a first league success, goals from Richard Challinor after 22 minutes and Robbie Greatrex five minutes later putting them in control. Missed first half chances came back to haunt Stones though as Michael Coles gave Ar Tarn hope, reducing the arrears after 76 minutes, and an 89th minute Tom Mills penalty completed the fightback.

Desborough remain anchored to the foot of the Premier table after a real game of two halves. Ar Tarn looked set for their first win of the campaign, taking a two goal lead through Richard Gilbert a quarter of an hour in and a Michael Chong effort seven minutes before the interval. The Cotton brothers turned the contest in Raunds' favour after the break, Lee levelling on the hour and Craig adding two more after 69 and 82 minutes.

The Swans sent Ar Tarn back to the foot of the table by inflicting this Willen Road defeat. Desborough scored after six minutes through Paul Dheneralovic, but Newport were on terms five minutes later through Mike Riley. Top scorer Tyrone Taylor fired Newport ahead after 65 minutes. A fine performance from Des Elliott between the sticks kept Desborough in the contest but Simon Dunlop sealed the home win in the final minute.

Desborough claimed their first clean sheet of the season and their second point, but they remain anchored to the foot of the table on goal difference after failing to hit the target against fellow strugglers Woodford. Tom Mills was closest to breaking the deadlock hitting the visiting crossbar just after the interval. Ar Tarn had Graeme Archer dismissed late on for a second caution.

Two of the early season strugglers met at Kingsthorpe Mill and the outcome was a draw as in the early season FA Cup clash of the pair. Tommy Stratford gave Spencer a tenth minute lead but thereafter Desborough dominated. Tom Mills had a header cleared off the line and Michael Chong had a goal disallowed but justice was done with Richard Gilbert springing the offiside trap to restore parity after 65 minutes. A series of fine saves by young Millers keeper Oliver Urquhart earned his side a point.

Next to bottom Desborough failed to collect their first league win but matched the champions. Twenty minutes into the second half Richard Gilbert fired Ar Tarn ahead but with ten minutes to play manager Shaun Keeble replied for the Tigers, heading home an Angus Hepburn free kick as they shared the points for the first time this season.

Desborough broke their league duck with a first win at the tenth attempt, repeating their cup win over the Shopmates seven days earlier. Raunds put up a better show this time though taking a 9th minute lead through Ben Holley. Michael Coles put Ar Tarn on terms just two minutes later and Michael Chong won the contest for Desborough with the decisive goal after 54 minutes.

A goalless first half saw Ar Tarn on top and Andy Greensmith was denied an opening goal by a fine Lee Sharp save. Danny Hargreaves put Harrowby in front three minutes into the second half and six minutes from time Jason Harrison sealed the victory.

St Neots turned in a devastating display to move into the top four of the Premier. Danny Bartley gave them the lead 25 minutes in, heading powerfully home from a Russell Lawes centre and the contest was all but over by the break as Steve Kuhne added a 34th minute second, converting a Ronnie Fortune pass while Fortune scored number three himself five minutes later with the best goal of the night. Steve Wareham's cross was headed back across goal by Kuhne for Fortune to finish. Three minutes into the second half Wareham's cross and Paul Bloss's flick set up Kuhne for number four. The returning Mark Drake made it five on 66 minutes after good work by Ivan Finch. Jack Rashid's penalty save from Tom Mills denied Ar Tarn even a consolation and their unhappy evening was rounded off as Kuhne completed his hat trick after 79 minutes, tapping in after Drake's pass sent Wareham clear.

Ar Tarn remain anchored in the bottom two as Bourne manager Mark Mitchell's rebuilding programme gains momentum, George Donnelly gave Desborough an 18th minute lead, punishing a short header back by Darren Munton but the Wakes took charge as recent recruit Ryan Franklin levelled on 35 minutes with a shot off the post and John Armstrong followed up with a headed second a minute later from a Jim Foreman cross. Foreman made it three on 46 minutes after racing clear of the visiting defence before Michael Coles reduced the arrears on 65 minutes, converting Michael Chong's pass. Thereafter Desborough twice hit the woodwork but Bourne held on to extend their unbeaten run to four matches.

Desborough slipped to the foot of the table as mid table visitors Boston plundered the points with a goal from Jordan Walden on the quarter hour, a superb volley from a Carl Basker free kick. Simon ward made a fine save to deny Michael Chong an equaliser late in the half. Bob Don-Duncan rang the changes in the Boston side and was rewarded with a victory.

Cogenhoe turned the tables to avenge the previous week's cup defeat at the Waterworks Field to maintain their challenge for league honours at the top. The Cooks took an early stranglehold with Scott Coleman netting after five and eleven minutes and Rob Goldring adding a 17th minute third, his tenth goal of the season. Coleman completed his hat trick after 52 minutes with Sam Johnson scoring Ar Tarn's 82nd minute consolation.

Managerless Ar Tarn remain anchored to the foot of the table after their eleventh defeat of the season and their sixth in succession. Stones extended their record without loss to eight, and were quick to take a stranglehold on the contest. Alex Higgins opened the scoring three minutes in with a 20 yard drive and Graham Epps doubled the lead eight minutes later, turning his marker on the edge of the box and firing home. Tom Mills replied for Desborough after 28 minutes but there was no way back for them after Higgins notched Stones' third eight minutes into the second half, converting an Epps cross.

Managerless Desborough produced one of the shocks of the round as a battling display gave them a surprise success over powerful visitors from the North West Counties League. Tom Mills was the Ar Tarn matchwinner with a 55th minute goal, Desborough have won three Vase matches this season and just one in the league!

This top v bottom clash at Ford Meadow saw the Robins in fine form in front of goal as they moved six points clear at the head of the table. Darren Harmon put Buckingham on the way to a fifth successive league win with the opening goal after 14 minutes, slotting home after Abdul Abdi had challenged Desborough keeper Des Elliott for a Moses Olaleye cross. The sending off of Marcus McGillicuddy for retaliation reduced the home side to ten men but they soaked up visiting pressure and Abdi added a second after 47 minutes from another Olaleye centre. Desborough's hopes disappeared with Scott Munton's red card and Meshach Cole put his name on the scoresheet with a 57th minute spot kick after being brought down himself by Glyn Davies. Olalaye had the last word four minutes from time scoring the goal of the game after leaving a trail of defenders in his wake.

These two struggling sides, short on both confidence and goals, played out a scoreless stalemate at the Waterworks Field which left both rooted in the relegation places. Ar Tarn failed to make the most of a following wind in the first hald and they were thankful for an assistant referee's flag while ruled out a second half Spencer 'goal'. Des Elliott made two fine saves for Desborough but the home side could have won it late on when Bryan Jeffrey's fine run ended in a shot that just cleared the visiting ctossbar. Desborough are now without a league win in nine games, Spencer without a three point haul in eight!

Ar Tarn warmed up for Saturday's Vase tie with a confidence boosting win over fellow strugglers Long Buckby in the league. Buckby are now just three points ahead of the bottom two. Bobby Drain gave S&L a great start, scoring after five minutes, and Matty Curtis added a 22nd minute second. Desborough replied through Andy Greensmith after 56 minutes.

Yaxley's charge up the table was halted at the Waterworks Field as Desborough at last found their 'Vase form' on league duty to move off the bottom. Tom Mills gave Desborough a 9th minute lead from a Paul Dheneralovic cross and Michael Coles added a 33rd minute second with a glancing header. Simon Acton's 87th minute reply for the Cuckoos was merely a consolation.

Stotfold young gun Liam Errington shot Desborough down to the bottom of the Premier table with a hat trick in the Eagles' victory. Errington gave Stotfold a 40th minute lead and added a second four minutes later with a stunning 40 yard strike after intercepting Des Elliott's clearance. Ar Tarn acquitted themselves well against the runners up from last season but they were unable to build on Richard Gilbert's 13th minute opener to secure a last 16 place. Gilbert headed home from a Tom Mills cross to stun the Suffolk side. Sam Banya was Sudbury's second half matchwinner. He squared the tie seven minutes into the second half from a Paul Betson free kick before giving Sudbury the lead after 72 minutes from a Lee Owen cross. Banya ended Desborough's resistance on 75 minutes after good work by Andrew Claydon.

After bowing out of the FA Vase last weekend Desborough's return to league action saw them crash to their heaviest defeat of the season at the hands of the in form Motormen who are now unbeaten in six outings. Ar Tarn never recovered from a dreadful opening which saw Glen Gibb open the scoring after eight minutes and Dave Beazeley score an own goal five minutes later. Thereafter Matt Murphy took centre stage. He completed the first half scoring after 35 minutes before netting after 52 and 63 minutes to claim a hat trick. Ian Pearce joined the scoring spree ten minutes from time with Murphy taking his personal tally to four in the dying seconds.

Yaxley avenged an earlier defeat at the Waterworks Field to leave Desborough anchored to the foot of the table. Defender Mark Hanton gave the Cuckoos the lead after just two minutes with a diving header, and Yaxley extended their lead after twenty minutes with Michael Frew's 20th goal of the campaign. Tom Mills put Desborough back in the contest after 37 minutes, but with twenty minutes remaining Peter Miller made the points safe for Yaxley, converting a left wing cross from Ian Dunn.

Bottom markers Desborough made a game of it at the Halley Stewart Field but the Tulips maintained their winning run to move closer to leaders Buckingham. Paul Watts scored the decisive goal in a goalmouth scramble, his 15th of the season, after 52 minutes to win the points for Spalding. Tom Mills and Michael Coles were close to equalisers for Desborough.

Ar Tarn's recruitment drive appears to be paying off as they halted a run of four defeats with a stunning win over the champions. Midweek recruit from Oadby, Grant Mawby, set the ball rolling with Desborough's 27th minute opener, an 18 yard strike from a Tom Mills cross, and twenty minutes into the second half the widely travelled marksman added his second, pouncing to fire home the loose ball after Jamie Gilsenan's fierce shot was parried by home keeper Adam Kirk. Mawby then turned provider setting up an 82nd minute Danny Steed 35 yard lob which sealed Desborough's first away win of the season. Andy Williams scored an 84th minute Tigers' consolation from a Shaun Keeble knockdown.

Ar Tarn stunned their near neighbours with a penalty shootout success to reach a final against either Northampton Town or Peterborough United. The Poppies looked set for victory when they took a 56th minute lead through Stefan Dancy, but with just two minutes remaining Callum Jenkins scored Desborough's equaliser. Five minutes into extra time Sam Johnson fired Ar Tarn ahead but Elliot Paschalis saved Kettering's blushes with a 106th minute leveller.
Jenkins and Tom Mills scored Desborough's first two kicks either side of an Andy Lodge score for the Poppies, and it was advantage Desborough as Paschalis blazed over from the second Kettering kick. Successful kicks from Johnson for the home side and Chris Difante for the Poppies were followed by Scott Munton's fourth conversion for Ar Tarn, leaving the pressure on Brian Hardie who had to score Kettering's fourth to keep the tie alive. He was thwarted by Paul Beresford's save which gave Desborough a famous victory.

Desborough's inability to put together back to back results kept them firmly entrenched at the bottom of the table as Harrowby ran riot at the Waterworks Field. Mark Lovelace opened the scoring after 23 minutes, and four minutes before the interval he doubled his side's advantage. Tom Mills reduced the arrears after 53 minutes but before Desborough could get a foothold in the contest Mark Foster restored the Arrows' two goal margin on 54 minutes. Foster added number four for Harrowby after 64 minutes, but Ar Tarn responded immediately through George Donnelly on 65 minutes. Five minutes later Foster completed his hat trick for the visitors and Martin Wormall's 25th goal of the season after 78 minutes completed a good day at the office for Graham Drury's men.

A vital victory at Station Road saw Ar Tarn move out of the bottom three and send Buckby to the foot of the table. New Bucks boss Aidy Mann took just eight minutes to fire his new charges in front from a free kick, but Bill Riddle's 33rd minute headed effort from a Paul Djeneralovic flag kick squared the tie at the break. Sam Johnson nipped onto a weak back pass to put Desborough in front just seven minutes into the second half but Buckby, fielding seven debutants, battled back to equalise through Jamie Thomas after 71 minutes. Ten minutes from time Jamie Gilsenan gave the visitors all three points.

Fords made it eleven matches without defeat as Desborough's fightback went unrewarded at Royal Oak Way. Ian Pearce gave the Motormen the lead on the half hour and the home side had victory in their sights after 55 minutes when Matt Murphy added a second. Ar Tarn fought back with a George Donnelly double strike after 60 and 70 minutes, but a vital point slipped through their grasp five minutes from time when Ian Giles gave Fords victory.

Ar Tarn claimed a vital victory in this relegation battle at the Waterworks Field, sending Daventry crashing to their ninth defeat in ten games and a place in the bottom two. The visitors started well enough, taking a ninth minute lead through Tom O'Brien after Bryan Jeffery was caught in possession, but parity was restored by Michael Coles just five minutes thereafter, a header off the post from a George Donnelly cross. Coles fired Desborough in front on the stroke of half time after latching onto a Donnelly flick. A double strike from Donnelly gave Ar Tarn the points, the striker netting on 66 minutes after good work by Coles and on 83 minutes from an Andreas Sanders pass.

Desborough are finding it hard to escape the relegation scrap and they came off second best at Tattershall Road thanks to a Richard Pell goal for the Poachers after just 45 seconds of play. The defender fired home from the edge of the box after the Desborough defence failed to clear a long throw from Ross Don-Duncan. Ben Greasley cleared of the line from Nathan Collins while the post denied Paul Goodhand a second Boston goal. Desborough rallied late on posing a threat at set pieces and twice forcing Simon Ward into good saves.

Desborough gave themselves breathing space at the bottom with their first Weston Park success in ten years. Michael Coles gave Ar Tarn the lead twelve minutes in after Jamie Gilsenan's through ball split the defence, but Ricky Bulzis replied after 35 minutes for Blue Cross, finding the net from close range. Parity was to last until the first minute of the second half when Gilsenan restored Desborough's afvantage, converting Andreas Sanders' cross at the far post. Coles added the visitors' third after 63 minutes after good work from Bill Riddle and Gilsenan but with ten minutes to play Ben Chambers put Wootton back in the hunt. Sam Johnson eased Desborough nerves with an 88th minute clincher, running almost the length of the pitch to score after home keeper Steve Corry went up for a corner.

Daventry moved off the foot of the table but will be kicking themselves after a lead slipped away in this one. The woodwork denied Jamie Gilsenan a first half opener for Ar Tarn and they found themselves trailing when Gareth Jones fired Daventry in front three minutes into the second half. Desborough twice had goalbound efforts blocked on the line but with just twelve minutes remaining Sam Johnson popped up with an Ar Tarn equaliser after good work by Bryan Jeffery.

Desborough never recovered from two early goals at Byfield Road, and are still within sight of the bottom two. Nicky Gordon gave Woodford the lead after 13 minutes, and six minutes later Tony Burt added a second to leave the home side well in control. George Donnelly's 40th minute spot kick, awarded for handball, put Ar Tarn back in the hunt but Woodford sealed the win with an 87th minute Lewis Travers strike.

A 23rd minute goal from midfielder Tom Mills from fully 25 yards gave Ar Tarn a vital victory at Outgang Road and revenge for a home defeat on day one of the season. With the game goalless James Horner hit the post for Rangers while Sam Johnson was denied a goal for the visitors by the woodwork. Deeping's defeat was their sixth in succession.

Lowly Desborough produced one of the shocks of the season as they demolished the long time leaders of the Premier who now look outsiders for the crown. The Robins had Phil Turner sent off in the first half and Desborough made their man advantage count. Jamie Gilsenan opened the scoring after 35 minutes and on the stroke of half time George Donnelly added a second. The second saw Donnelly take centre stage with four more goals, after 55, 60 and 70 minutes. Reuben Max-Grant scored a 77th minute Buckingham consolation before Gilsenan completed the rout four minutes later.

Ben Greasley gave Desborough the lead after 20 minutes, converting a Danny Steed pass. After S&L missed chances to get back into the game Jamie Gilsenan wrapped up Desborough's win after 67 minutes, punishing a defensive error.

After a difficult campaign Desborough seem to be finishing the season on a high - this was their fourth successive win. Ar Tarn took a fifth minute lead through Andreas Sanders who converted a Jamie Gilsenan centre, but they were pegged back by Paul Edgeworth's 20th goal of the season after 48 minutes, a scrambled effort from a corner. Gilsenan secured Desborough's eleventh win of the season ten minutes from time after a right wing moved started by Andy Greensmith and continued by Mark Pallett and Eddie Mills.

Ar Tarn made it five consecutive victories as they saw off the Wakes by a lone Sam Johnson strike after 67 minutes. A typical end of season game saw few clear opportunities in a low key contest, although Wakes keeper Mick Hurst impressed against his old club when Ar Tarn threatened. Desborough are now out of the bottom six after a season spent largely in the doldrums.

Ar Tarn brought down the curtain on their campaign with a home win as they completed a double over Blue Cross. The visitors took a fourth minute lead, Ben Chambers springing the offside trap and racing clear before rounding keeper Paul Beresford to slot home. Desborough equalised after 21 minutes, youngster Ben Greasley powering home a header from a corner. On the stroke of half time Jamie Gilsenan gave Ar Tarn the lead from a difficult angle. Late on Clive Woodland curled a shot against the bar for Wootton.
